Whether you’re entertaining guests or enjoying a cozy night in, a glass of mulled sangria will make everything more festive. Mulled Sangria Serves 6-8 2 bottles of Tempranillo or Grenache red wine 2 cinnamon sticks 10 whole cloves 20 whole peppercorns 4 whole green cardamom pods 1 cup brandy 1 cup dry sherry 1 cup apple cider, unfiltered 1 cup cranberry juice 1 orange, juiced 1½ cups simple syrup 1 tablespoon orange zest 2 cups water 1. Add ingredients to a pot over medium low or in a crock pot. Let simmer without bubbles for an hour. 2. Strain the mixture. 3. Serve warm with orange zest.
