DIY Valentine: Apple of My Eye Card

Treat your eye candy to a little eye candy this Valentine’s Day with a DIY card made with paper, glue, glitter, and scissors. Best of all, you can customize it to match the color of your valentine’s eyes so that they’ll know it’s just for them.

Materials Needed:

Eye template template
Brown craft paper
White paper
Blue paper (or the color of your significant other’s eyes)
Red glitter cardstock
Scissors
Glue

The Process

1. Start by folding a standard size (8.5”x11”) piece of craft paper in half.

2. Print the template and use it to trace each shape onto your paper. Use white paper for the base, the blue (or whatever color your love’s eyes are) for the round part of the eye, and the red for the apple.

3. Glue each part of the eye together, as shown on the template.

4. Center the eye on the brown craft paper and glue it down.

5. Above the eye, draw lines to create eyelashes. Go over each line with glue and sprinkle black glitter until they’re covered. Let dry for at least 10-15 minutes before shaking off any excess glitter.

6. Write a special note inside the card–the cornea, the better.
