12 Days of Art: French Hens

Inspired by the third day of Christmas, Warren Kimble gives us “Three French Hens.”

Kimble Three French Hens

Warren Kimble creates artwork with a universally appealing interpretation of Americana. Drawing on over 50 years of experience as a fine art educator and antiques collector, Kimble paints with a style he describes as “reminiscent of something that surrounds a person every day. It is simplistic, yet abstract.” Adding to this extraordinary style, Kimble pays careful attention to his selection of warm and unique colors. He also chooses to paint on wood repurposed from sources like 18th-century tabletops or cabinet doors with distinctive details they could only get from years of use in homes.

Kimble currently lives and works out of Brandon, Vermont with his wife and business partner, Lorraine. Together they have managed to create and market a collection of work that has ranked in the Top 100 Licensors by License! Magazine. Both Warren and Lorraine are also active in several philanthropic efforts supporting arts education in schools and community artists. Warren formally retired in 2006 but he is still creating new artwork such as the exclusive “3 French Hens,” that we can all share during this holiday season.
